DRgard® Blood Tubes
Collect, ship and isolate both DNA and RNA in a single blood draw.
DRgard® Blood Tubes is a unique blood collection device which enables you to collect, ship and isolate total nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) at ambient temperatures. The reagent rapidly permeates cellular structures and membranes (cell lysis) to stabilize and protect total nucleic acids in whole blood samples. The flexibility to isolate DNA and/or RNA in a single blood draw saves time and cost in avoiding multiple blood tubes.
Product Performance
Whole blood samples were collected in EDTA tubes and stored fresh (-20C), in DRgard Blood formulation (room temperature) or unprotected (at room temperature) for a period up to 2 weeks. Gel image of the recovered RNA and genomic DNA from these samples is shown in Figure-1 below.
